Hey art friends! Teryn and I are drawing a big mouth scarecrow with a nesting crow hiding inside, and this folding surprise is one of my new favorites.
Art Supplies:
Markers
Marker paper
Scratch paper to protect your table
White colored pencil for the crow’s wing details (optional)
Personalization ideas: Make your scarecrow your own with different hat and bandana colors, extra crows peeking out, or a spider web inside the mouth. You could also draw the shoulders and body below the head to give your scarecrow a whole new look.
For teachers and parents: Try this as a fall art activity, then invite each artist to write a short story about the crow living inside the scarecrow. Practice the folds together before drawing, and pause the coloring fast-forward so everyone can work at their own pace.
