Hey art friends! This Independence Day is once in a lifetime. America is turning 250 years old! Hadley and I are celebrating with a special drawing, a Happy Birthday Cake for America! Our cake has two tiers, with red and white stripes on the bottom, big star decorations, blue trim, and three giant candles that spell out “250” on top.

Did you know? America became its own country on July 4, 1776, and this year (2026) marks 250 years since then! We thought a birthday cake was the perfect way to celebrate. Take your time on the cake’s red and white stripes (just like the flag), the blue tier with stars, and the 250 candles. Once you finish, add fireworks, draw a flag flying behind it, or write your own special message. Happy Birthday America!
