Start your engines, today is all about how to draw a race car!
Drawing cars, really any vehicle, is a lot of fun for me because I used to work for Ford. I LOVED drawing cars when I was a kid…so this brought back a lot of memories.
When drawing them, it’s always easier to either draw them from a direct view. Either draw a side view or a front view. For this lesson we’re drawing a formula 1 styled race car from a direct sideview.
Usually I always start with a ground line, then add the wheels, then draw the rest of the car. In my opinion it helps make drawing a car easier, if you start in that order.
We’re also using oil pastels to color, but feel free to use anything (markers, colored pencils, whatever you have).
