Hey art friends! Spring is here and today we’re drawing a cute spring birdhouse! In this lesson, we’re using our pencils first to sketch out the main shapes before going over everything with markers. This is a great technique that you can use with all of our lessons. Start with a pencil, get the shapes just the way you want them, and then go over it with markers when you’re ready.
Art Supplies:
Pencil
Eraser
Markers
Marker paper
Using a pencil first is a great way to practice drawing shapes without worrying about making mistakes. If something doesn’t look right, just erase it and try again! Once you’re happy with your sketch, go over it with your markers to make it bold and colorful. You can decorate your birdhouse however you want. Add flowers, birds, butterflies, or even a little bird peeking out of the hole. Make it yours!
