Happy Read Across America Day, art friends! Austin and I are celebrating by drawing one of the most famous book characters ever, Sam-I-Am from Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. Here’s a fun fact: Dr. Seuss wrote this entire book using only 50 words on a bet!

Sam-I-Am is a really fun character to draw because of his tall red hat and silly expressions. Don’t stress about getting the Dr. Seuss style exactly right. His characters are supposed to look a little wacky and whimsical, so have fun with it! You could also try adding a background to complete the scene.
