Painting Activity For Two Year Olds (Ice Cream Cone)

Today is a fun activity for your young artists! Ice cream cones are a great way to keep it simple, yet it gives you an opportunity to point out colors and shapes.

Some of my favorite activities are extremely simple, and that’s because the time I spend with them is more about being together and laughing and less about challenging their skills. Though after watching the video below it’s obvious that this activity is still plenty challenging.

Materials Used

  • Paint (we used tempera)
  • Brushes
  • Paper (we use a mixed media paper)
  • Paint tray
  • Water and jar
  • Paper towels
