Hey art friends! Austin and I are drawing a cement truck today. This is a side-view construction truck with a big striped mixer drum, and you get to pick the colors.
Art Supplies:
Markers
Marker paper
Personalization ideas: Swap the yellow cab for red, blue, orange, or your school colors. Change the mixer drum stripes to any two colors, or make them rainbow. Add a construction site, a traffic cone, a dirt pile, a logo on the door, or a second truck lined up beside it.
For teachers and parents: This lesson is a great community-helpers or construction unit, a shapes practice with circles, ovals, and rectangles, or a career-day bulletin board where every kid’s truck shows a different color. It also pairs well with fine-motor practice and homemade thank-you cards for construction workers.
