Hey art friends! Hadley and I are drawing one of the funniest combos we’ve ever come up with, a CRAB wearing a COWBOY HAT! This was Hadley’s idea, and she was so right that it would be adorable. We each drew our own version: Hadley made hers Shelly the Cowgirl Crab in a sweet pink hat, and I made mine Shermit the Sheriff with a brown hat and a sheriff’s star.

The fun part of drawing your cowboy crab is making the crab and the cowboy hat work together. The hat sits right on top of the shell, and the kawaii face peeks out underneath. Once you finish, pick your own hat color, add a star or a flower or a feather, give your crab a name, and draw him or her on the beach or in the desert. Yeehaw!
