Hey art friends! Today we’re drawing a forklift, a really cool work vehicle. It’s a perfect Labor Day lesson, and you get to pick the colors.
Art Supplies:
Markers
Marker paper
Personalization ideas: Swap the yellow body for any work color, school colors, or caution stripes. Change how high the forks sit, add a crate or pallet on the forks, or draw a warehouse behind it.
For teachers and parents: This lesson is a great Labor Day or community-helpers unit, a career-day bulletin board, or a shapes practice with rectangles and circles. It also pairs well with a simple machines talk, fine-motor practice, and homemade thank-you cards for workers.
