Hey art friends! Today Austin and I are drawing a Funny Hermit Crab! Hermit crabs are so special because they carry their homes right on their backs.
Art Supplies:
Markers
Marker paper
The fun part of drawing this hermit crab is picking the shell you want. We drew ours with orange and yellow stripes and little brown speckles, but you could make yours any pattern you love. Try pink and purple stripes, blue and green spirals, a rainbow shell, or even a shell that looks like a candy cane, a beach ball, or your favorite team colors. Once you finish your hermit crab, add a beach scene around it with the ocean, some soft sand, a starfish or two, and maybe a friendly little fish swimming by.
Fun fact: Real hermit crabs actually swap shells as they grow! They’ll test out different shells on the beach and pick a new one when they need more room. Kind of like moving to a new house!
