Hey art friends! Today Austin and I are drawing a Traffic Light! This is a REALLY fun lesson, especially because it uses simple shapes, which makes it perfect for younger artists just getting started. Our traffic light has three lights: red on top, yellow in the middle, and green on the bottom. Red means STOP, yellow means SLOW DOWN, and green means GO!

The best part of this lesson is that a traffic light is basically a rectangle body with three circles inside it. Once you understand those simple shapes, you can add the little details. Then make your drawing your own! Try drawing a whole busy street scene around your traffic light with cars, buses, bikes, and pedestrians. Add a stop sign, a crosswalk sign, or a speed limit sign next to it. You could even turn your traffic light into a friendly character with a kawaii face!
