Hey art friends! Hadley and I are introducing you to our newest character, Charly the Floating Otter! Charly is a sweet sea otter who loves to float on his back in the water while holding his favorite little clam friend, Pasta. We start with a simple jelly bean shape and turn it into the cutest otter.
Art Supplies:
Pencil
Eraser
Markers
Marker paper
We start this one with our pencil to get Charly’s jelly bean body shape just right, then switch to markers for all the details. Here’s a fun fact: real sea otters really do float on their backs like this, and they use rocks to crack open shells for food! Take your time on his fuzzy fur and his sweet face. Once you finish, you can add bubbles, waves, or a whole ocean around him.
